Fire Remediation
Fires are a part of a natural cycle in certain ecosystems that generate growth and rebirth of many species.
Unfortunately, global climate change is making wildfires more frequent and more severe in California causing property damage, loss of life, and devastation.
EnviroNova is humbly and respectfully proud to be a partner in the EPA disaster relief and environmental remediation of the Northern California fires over the past two years.
EnviroNova has assisted in the Camp, Tubbs, Mendocino, Valley, Nuns, Atlas, and Carr fires in the northern region of California over the past few years. We have been active partners in all the stages of fire remediation and clean-up of residential and commercial areas.
Burnt structures contain hazards in the forms of household hazardous waste, asbestos, lead, propane tanks, ammunition, paint, and cleaners. If not addressed, these hazards can be harmful to workers and residents in the area.
EnviroNova assisted in the clean-up and disposal of burnt structures through the following actions.
- Conduct household hazardous waste (HHW) surveys and audits
- Conducting asbestos and lead bulk sampling
- Create and implement remediation and abatement plans
- Conduct air monitoring to ensure worker safety and efficiency of engineering controls
- Provide EHS consulting, management, and direction to remediation teams
- Coordinate with EPA and vertical of subcontractors for progress and results
We recognize the hardships and strains that wildfires place on the residents of the affected communities and strive to provide professional, efficient, and compassionate services that ensure the safety and health of everyone involved.
